Owner and founder of ConfiDance by Kristin (CDK), Kristin has carefully curated a team of amazing instructors who embody the ConfiDance/CDK method. Kristin and her team teach this unique method, which encourages children & adults to feel empowered by self-love and confidence while learning how to connect their mind & body to dance and follow their joy.

Kristin is a professional dancer, choreographer, creative director, producer and educator. She toured the world with Pitbull as one of his featured dancers & later creative director and has danced alongside several A-list artists including Jennifer Lopez, Ne-yo, 50 Cent, Marc Anthony, Chris Brown, Becky G, Maluma, Thalia amongst many others. She has performed on the stages of award & television shows; The Grammy Awards, SNL, Dancing With The Stars, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The View, Good Morning America, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, Country Music Awards, VH1 Divas Live, American Idol, & countless others & has appeared in an array of hit music videos including Fireball & Timber. She has choreographed, coached & consulted for NBA & MLB dance teams; NY Knicks, Chicago Bulls & Miami Marlins and has been fortunate to work alongside Broadway Director, Jerry Mitchell. She was also a NY Knicks City Dancer and Towson University Dance Team alumni.

In addition to her achievements in the world of dance, she also holds a Master's Degree in Education. Since retiring from professional dancing, she has combined her love of dance with her passion for teaching. Kristin strives to create an environment that will not only hone a child's dancing skills but also instill confidence and self-love through positive movement-based affirmations. It is this mission that inspired Kristin's term ConfiDance.

Kristin has a passion for helping others align with their true self. In her latest exploration of healing arts, Kristin studied and obtained certifications in Breathwork, Reiki, Sound healing and is also a certified Pilates & barre instructor.

 

Michelle Caputo | NYC, NJ, Hamptons (seasonal)

Owner & Artistic Director of the Dance Factory in Staten Island, Michelle Caputo, has worked with hundreds of young dancers and raised several nationally recognized award-winning competition teams. After graduating from Fiorello H. La Guardia High School of the Performing Arts, Michelle became a Knicks City Dancer and performed for 7 seasons at Madison Square Garden. After her second season, she was named team MVP and was later named team Captain. While dancing for the Knicks, Michelle was also a member of the New York Liberty Torch Patrol. During her second season, she performed as team Captain and was also the team's Coach and Choreographer. Michelle has also been a featured artist at Broadway Dance Center on multiple occasions.

 

Makenzie Levenberg | NYC, LI

AFFIRMATION: “I am powerful, I am worthy”

Teaches: ConfiDance, Moms and Minis

Mackenzie was born and raised on Long Island, New York. She has been competitively dancing her whole life. She went on to join the 19X national champion, Towson Dance Team. Following, she became a Knicks City Dancer performing at Madison Square Garden. In addition to her dance achievements, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science.  

Mackenzie has gone on to share her passion for dance by teaching at a local competitive dance studio. She’s so excited for this opportunity to be a part of Confidance!

 

Marilyn Vigil-Harris | NYC

AFFIRMATION: “I love myself and I love being here with me!” 

Mari is deeply inspired by telling stories with their body and voice by using a variety of dance genres, including salsa, bachata, jazz, theatre, ballet, and basic street styles. As a competitive Latin dancer, Mari has three top three finishes at the World Latin Dance Cup, and they have also danced for Telemundo, the Metropolitan Opera Education Program, the SheNYC Arts Summer Theatre Festival, and the School at Jacob’s Pillow. Mari enjoys teaching dancers of all ages and is inspired by how learning to dance can be a vehicle for self-empowerment. In 2022, they launched the Salsa program at Amargue Flow Dance Academy, NYC’s only queer-led cultural dance academy for Afro-Latin Styles, and most recently taught Latin dance classes for ages 4-11 at Dance Project of Washington Heights. As a teacher, Mari draws on their training as an actor in both Laban and Viewpoints to help young dancers access their creativity while developing their motor skills, technique, strength, and sense of rhythm and musicality. 

 

Abby Zuckerman | NYC

AFFIRMATION: “No one is you and that is your superpower"

Abby Zuckerman was born and raised in Westchester, New York and began dancing at the age of three. Throughout high school, she trained primarily in ballet, contemporary, and jazz. Abby then received a minor in dance, as well as a Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Studies, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Currently, she is in her fifth season with Dance Works New York City and is completing her Master’s in Clinical Social Work, with an emphasis on child and youth services. Abby is committed to instilling a love for dance while helping children build confidence and embrace their individuality. She looks forward to inspiring and growing alongside her students!

 

Gina De Pool | NYC, LI

AFFIRMATION: “I am enough for all of my wildest dreams to come true. “

Gina is a native to south Florida and a graduate of The Boston Conservatory. She has had the privilege of teaching, judging and assisting on conventions: Turn it Around Tour, Jump, Destiny Dance, & Dancers Inc.  She can be seen in various roles on hit TV shows as well as in the theater. Some of her credits include:  Film/TV: SNL, UP HERE (Hulu)  Spirited (Apple TV), In The Heights (Warner Brothers), Isn't it Romantic (Warner Brothers); Theater credits: White Christmas (The Fulton Theater)  West Side Story (Milwaukee Rep), On Your Feet (The Muny & Starlight Theater), Cinderella (The Fulton Theater). Additionally, Gina is also a certified fitness trainer and possesses multiple certifications in pilates. Gina enjoys sharing her passion of dance and inspiring adults and children of all ages.

 

Mia Isabella Ortiz | NYC

Mia is a professional dancer, born and raised in New York City, who started dancing at age 9 and has been training and performing ever since. She is currently in her second year as a principal dancer in Soul Project Dance Company by Candace Brown. Mia often assists Candace as well as travels to teach students throughout the country. Mia has professionally worked with artists such as Justin Beiber, Fergie, Jack Harlow, and Luis Fonsi. Mia loves to immerse herself in many different dance styles. Hip-hop and street jazz are what she loves the most! Mia is excited to teach with ConfiDance!

 

Chelsea Freeman| NYC , Westchester

AFFIRMATION: “I am the queen of my own destiny!”

Chelsea has been blessed to perform nationally and internationally on various stages in many productions. She was a Knicks City Dancer where she performed at Madison Square Garden night after night at the world's most famous arena. She shared the stage with Former First Lady Michelle Obama on The Ellen Show as well as with Harry Connick Jr on The Harry Show. She's danced with Jennifer Lopez, Run DMC, Cee Lo Green, lan Eastwood, Brian Friedman, and Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Regionally, she has performed in The Prom, Memphis: The Musical, Elf, and was a featured vocalist in The Legendary Ladies of Music. With Norwegian Cruise Line, Chelsea performed work by Patti Wilcox while traveling throughout Europe. Chelsea's love for fitness has grown and propelled her into the world of modeling! You can see Chelsea on various fitness platforms such as Nike, Fabletics, Beachbody, Asana Rebel, and Xtend Barre where she worked closely with its founder, Andrea Rogers. Chelsea enjoys working with children of all ages. Additionally, she has worked with with the non profit Youth Theater Interactions, and taught dance in schools in Yonkers. Chelsea continues to share her passion for dance via teaching.

 

Katie LeHoty| NYC

Katie is a Cleveland, Ohio native and has been living in NYC for four years now where attended Marymount Manhattan College and received her BFA in dance with a modern concentration. Her passion for dance started at the age of 4 years old and has continued to grow ever since. She has trained in various styles from ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, and hip-hop.  She is now a dance artist and choreographer where she currently dances with VALLETO, a NY based contemporary & experimental danc etheater company, and is preparing to showcase her own work. Katie loves to collaborate and work with others and there is no better way than to do that through movement and dance. Katie has been teaching dance and working with kids for over five years. She has taught a range of styles at competitive dance schools, choreography, as well as privates. She loves working with children to strengthen their love for dance and fine tune their skills! She is excited to share her passion for dance with ConfiDance!

 

Adrianna Vurchio | NYC/Long Island

Adrianna was born and raised on Long Island, New York.  She started dancing in her local studio at the age of 2 and began competing at age 11. She has won multiple national championships. As a versatile dancer trained in a variety of styles, she discovered a deep passion for sharing her knowledge with the younger generation of dancers. Adrianna has been teaching in prestigious dance studios since the age of 16. She works mostly with recreational students, ages 2-18, and is also training, choreographing and teaching competitive students as well. She is majoring in elementary education. Adrianna is extremely excited for this new chapter with ConfiDance!

 

Charlotte Young | NYC

Charlotte is chasing her dreams in New York City! Her dance journey began at 6 years old in Buffalo, New York, and she brought her love of dance with her to Naples, Florida at age 13. She has extensive training in various styles including jazz, contemporary, ballet, hip hop, tap, and musical theatre from a variety of dance educators and professionals in both Florida and New York. She has competed and performed around the country for over 10 years and has earned numerous awards and titles. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2023 with degrees Education and Dance. Since then, she has had the privilege of teaching students of all ages and skill levels, from young beginners, to advanced students aspiring to dance professionally. Her passion for both teaching and performing has led her to New York City, where she is pursuing a professional career in dance and musical theatre while sharing the joy of dance with her students. She is so excited to be part of the ConfiDance team and have the opportunity to inspire young dancers to be confident in themselves and accomplish their goals!

 

Kourtney LaMantia | NYC

AFFIRMATION: "I am BEAUTIFUL, RADIANT, AND BRIGHT"

Kourtney LaMantia was born and raised on Long Island, New York.  She started dancing in her local dance studio at the age of two and began competitively dancing with their company at the age of six. Over the course of 12 years, Kourtney had won numerous regional and national dance titles. Being the versatile dancer she was taught to be, she fell in love with sharing her knowledge amongst the younger generation of dancers. Kourtney has been teaching in prestigious dance studios since the age of 16. She works with competitive students as well as recreational students from the ages 2-18 as well as adult dance programs. Kourtney also travels to elementary schools across Long Island to teach the art of dance to public school students in addition to working with Junior Varsity competitive dance teams. She found a love and passion for educating young dancers and is so excited to begin this journey with ConfiDance!

 

Paige Emerson | NYC

AFFIRMATION: "I am a magnet for success, opportunity, and positivity!”

Paige Emerson was born and raised in Lake Grove, New York. She started dancing at 2 years old and began competing at the age of 5, winning numerous national awards and titles. She earned my bachelor's degree at Towson University and served as the captain of the Towson University Dance Team, National Championions, D1 Team Performance at NDA.

Paige actively pursues her dance training at Broadway Dance Center, BDC, and hosts dance team workshops to prepare high schoolers for collegiate dance teams. Paige also teaches at the studio where she grew up dancing, On the Edge Performance Center, instructing both competitive and recreational kids. Currently, Paige works as full-time social media coordinator for a marketing agency in NYC. A fun fact about Paige is that she's an Artist! On the side, she has a small business, Painted by Pip, where she paints custom shoes. 

 

Candice Rodriguez | Long Island

Affirmations: “I am capable of achieving anything.”

Teaches: ConfiDance

Candice Rodriguez has been teaching dance for 19 years. She started dancing at age 2, and when she graduated high school she began training at broadway dance center in NYC. She trained in all styles from hip hop, lyrical, jazz to styles like cheer, acro & breakdancing. Candice has performed at shows like carnival choreographers ball, and has appeared in music videos. She teaches ages 2-18 and also helps choreograph for an award winning competition dance team on long island.

Candice is also a certified teacher in New York. She completed her teaching degree at SUNY Oswego and her masters program for teaching. She's a mother of 4 girls and has a passion for helping children grow and learn in a nurturing environment.

 

Lauren Parker | NYC

AFFIRMATION: " I attract all that is good and all that I desire is attracted to me. "

Lauren grew up dancing as a big Texas cheerleader and dancer serving as both Cheer Captain and Senior Lieutenant of the Cougar Stars Drill Team. Lauren loved dancing under the Texan Friday night lights with packed arenas in America's most iconic HS stadiums, NRG, and The Alamo Dome. Lauren has performed for a Rockets halftime, McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade, and as an opening for hit pop artist Jay Sean. 

Lauren graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2023 where she got her B.S. in HOD (Human & Organizational Development) and Environmental Sociology. Throughout all four years at Vandy, she continued her passion for dance, assuming the roles of both Vice President and President of her dance team. A committed leader and leadership minor, Lauren loves teaching leadership skills within all dance/cheer/acro classes she teaches. 

 

Allie Meixner | NYC

AFFIRMATION: "I Am My Own SuperHero"

A Pittsburgh native, Allie became interested in show business at a very young age & shortly after moving to NYC at the age of 17 was cast as the lead in the Tony Award-winning musical, CONTACT, as the “Girl in the Yellow Dress.” Allie has since accumulated an impressive list of credits, which include touring with Toni Braxton, appearing on numerous episodes of Saturday Night Live, featured dancer/ actress in the movie, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, performances with Pitbull, Beyonce, and P. Diddy on VH1 Fashion Rocks, MTV Video Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards and can also be seen in Katy Perry’s California Gurls music video and 98 Degrees comeback video. Allie made her Broadway debut in THE CHER SHOW & has worked with numerous Broadway directors; such as Tony award-winning director, Jerry Mitchell. She was the original cast of Rock of Ages Las Vegas and can be seen in NBC’s HAIRSPRAY LIVE!, STEP UP ALL IN, and Lip Sync Battle.

Allie has taught across the country at numerous dance competitions, dance conventions, and in studios in NYC, LA, Las Vegas, & Pittsburgh. Her passion for dance is not only on stage when she is performing, but when she is in the studio creating, teaching, and building the confidence of the new young generation of dancers. Recently, Allie launched her leotard line @highluxdance.

 

Sarahbeth Cook | Long Island

Sarahbeth first and foremost, is an educator for the future leaders of the world. She is also known as a performer, coach, and choreographer. Sarahbeth began her training at LoPresti Dance Theatre studying all genres of dance. She is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance with a Teaching Concentration and received her Masters in Early Childhood Education from Grand Canyon University. While studying for her bachelor’s, Sarahbeth began her professional dance career as a member of the New York Knicks City Dancers. She spent 5 seasons dancing for the NBA’s professional dance team and has performed overseas in Taiwan, India, and the Philippines. Sarahbeth has been featured in publications such as Dance Spirit Magazine, made appearances on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and E!’s The Dance Scene. She has had the opportunity to perform with numerous recording artists such as Q-Tip, Kat Deluna, Kevin Rudolph, Jason Derulo, Pitbull, and more. Sarahbeth has coached numerous dance teams over the past 10 years including the New York Knicks City Kids and WNBA’s New York Liberty Lil’ Torches. Currently, she is the Head Varsity Coach of the Smithtown High School East Varsity Whisperettes who hold their current title as 22X Small High Kick National Champions. Sarahbeth loves every opportunity given to choreograph and train. She hopes to inspire and teach those who share the love of dance, that they too can follow their dreams.

 

Jessica Gray | NYC/LI

Jessica is a Long Island born-and-raised professional performer who has been sharing her love of theatre and dance with kids and teens for over ten years. She earned her B.F.A. in theatre and B.A. in dance at Adelphi University, then went on to study dance further with companies including the Radio City Rockettes and the Verdon/ Fosse Legacy.

Jessica has been seen performing across the country with Sesame Street Live!, with Universal Studios in California and right here on Long Island at the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport!

Jessica is so excited to be joining the team at ConfiDance, and can’t wait to share her love of dance and inspire so many young dancers the way she was at their age.

 

Allyson Acerra| NYC/LI/NJ

AFFIRMATION: "I am strong and brave."

Teaches: ConfiDance

Allyson was born and raised in Staten Island New York. She has been competitively dancing since the age of 6 years old and won numerous national awards and titles. She went on to join the St. John’s University’s division 1 dance team and was captain for 3 years. On this team she and her team won a national title in 2020 for division 1 hip-hop. She now is perusing her masters in childhood education at St. John’s University. She is currently working as a dance teacher at the Dance Factory in Staten Island working with children of all ages ranging from 5 to 17 years old. Allyson loves working with kids and sharing her knowledge and passion for dance!

 

Brianna Mercado | NYC

AFFIRMATION: "I am unstoppable!"

Brianna is a professional dance artist, teacher, and choreographer based in New York City. She started her dance training in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she attended the University of California Berkeley and graduated with a double major in Dance & Performance Studies and Social Welfare. Since her move to New York City, Brianna has completed the Professional Semester at Broadway Dance Center, Establish Your Empire, and Rock The Industry programs. She has had the honor to work pre-production for several Broadway shows & has worked with diverse leaders in the dance industry, including Jon Rua, Rhapsody James, Luam Keflezgy, Derek Mitchell, Andy Blankenbuehler, Jessica Hartman & Christopher Gattelli. Her own choreography has been featured on Lifetime’s Dance Mom’s, Fox Health News & Quartz, and has graced stages at The Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Symphony Space, and TED Talks. Her choreography and her students have earned prestigious awards at both local and national dance competitions from San Francisco to New York City. Standout performance credits include: PHISH at Madison Square Garden, Isn’t It Romantic (film), West Side Story (Assoc. Choreographer), Godspell (Assoc. Choreographer), MUNY’s Jesus Christ Superstar (Dance Captain), MUNY’s Aida (Dance Captain), Fuerza Bruta: Wayra, Broadway Underground, PHISH ‘Fuego’ Tour, Beyond Babel, and her own TED talk. With a passion for learning, empowerment, and healing others, Brianna is currently pursuing her Masters in Mind-Body Medicine with a certification in Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching. She also teaches weekly classes at Peridance Center in New York City.

 

Marie Baramo | NYC

AFFIRMATION: "You already have all that you need inside of you."

Marie Rose Baramo is a native New Yorker who began her career as a commercial dancer. Her background includes extensive training in heels, hip hop, street jazz, latin and contemporary dance. When Marie is not performing, she is dedicated to teaching and truly loves it. She has taught many different age groups; children to adults, at different locations such as Greenwich Academy and Alvin Ailey as well as private and group lessons. She is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and creating a safe and welcoming environment. Marie has performed with music artists such as Camila Cabello, Jennifer Hud-son, Future the rapper, Lil Kim, Lil Nas X, Becky G, Sebastian Yatra, and Rachel Platten. Film, television and theater credits include Tick Tick....Boom!, Isn't It Romantic, Tell Me A Story, Godfather Of Harlem, Marvel's Jessica Jones, The Get Down, The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, The Today Show, Video Music Awards, Latin American Music Awards, Youtube Awards, Univision and ABC Upfronts, Saturday Night Fever Asia Tour, The Bodyguard - North Shore Music Theater, Pre Productions for 'Fly' and 'Zoot Suit'. Jana Krumholtz | NYC

Jana Krumholtz is a forever creator and seeker. She has danced professionally for the past 10 years and splits her time between LA and NYC. Jana has performed alongside Beyonce and Billie Eilish, was a series regular dancer on the hit TV Show Lip Sync Battle for 5 seasons, and can be seen on numerous SNL episodes, America's Got Talent and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Her interests expanded into acting and writing, where her original piece, "6 Million" was performed in the Fringe Festival in Hollywood, winning an "Encore" Award. 

Jana's choreography credits include The Knocks' 'Bedroom Eyes' music video, Jake Scott's music video for his hit song 'Like No One Does,' as well as Kathleen Monteleone's new single, 'Look At Me Now.' Jana has crossed over into being an educator and instructor, dedicated to blending the boundary between dancers and actors. She is a firm believer in storytelling, and knows that all humans have an innate calling to dance. She created her own program "Return to Dance," where she trains dancers and non-dancers alike to break through fear and ultimately find freedom through dance. She is also currently a KINRGY Guide (Julianne Hough's dance fitness method). Jana was personally trained by Julianne and teaches Kinrgy classes all over the country, as well as live at Tony Robbins' events. Jana is committed to spreading love and inspiration through dance and movement and can't wait to move with you!

 

Ana DeMatos | NYC

A resident of Manhattan's Upper East Side, Ana began her pursuit of dance at a young age in Sao Paulo, Brazil as a samba dancer. Upon moving to South Florida at the age of ten, Ana started her formal dance training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, and tap. Within one year of formal training, Ana started competing at national dance competitions, and by the age of 17 Ana won first place as a soloist at the Dance Educators of America national competition. At Duke University, in addition to majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Ana minored in Dance and was part of Duke's nationally recognized dance team. Upon graduation, Ana moved to New York City to pursue her professional aspirations in business and the entertainment industry. Ana was a Knicks City Dancer for the NBA's New York Knicks for 5 seasons and a professional dancer with Clear Talent Group talent agency. Ana has been featured in multiple publications and television shows including The New York Post, Dance Spirit Magazine, Jimmy Fallon, The View, and Telemundo's Acesso Total. As a Latin dancer, Ana was named one of Salsa's Leading Ladies and featured in Latina Magazine. In addition to nurturing her passion for dance, Ana is an executive at a consulting firm and most recently earned an MBA from Columbia Business School. As a ConfiDance instructor, Ana loves to inspire young dancers to achieve anything they put their minds into.

 

Norby Duran | NYC

AFFIRMATION: "My heart is here. I am brave!"

A mover and groover from the womb, Norby is a professional dancer living in NYC. She started dance lessons at the age of three and through her dance journey, she has had the opportunity to perform at venues such as the Metlife Stadium as a former Jets Flight Crew Cheerleader and Madison Square Garden, as a former Knicks City Dancer. Currently, she is an instructor at FORWARD__Space in Soho. She additionally shares her passion for dance as a dance coach educating young dancers inspired by movement, music, and dance in NYC. Norby is so thrilled to be apart ConfiDance!

 

Andrea Saum | NYC

AFFIRMATION: "I am worthy, I am capable, I am enough"

Andrea was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona where she began dancing at 4 years old. Andrea knew from a young age that she wanted to dance professionally and had dreams of moving to the Big Apple to pursue them. Her dream came true when she was accepted into Pace University’s Commercial Dance Program. At Pace, she trained under the some of best in the industry including Mandy Moore, Rhonda Miller, Scott Jovovich, Alexandra Daminani and many more. After graduating in 2021, she was lucky enough to join the Knicks City Dancers where she performs regularly at Madison Square Garden. Other than performing, Andrea has passion for teaching and choreography. She has taught many levels and styles and enjoys applying what she has learned from her mentors into her classroom. She has taught at multiple studios in Arizona and looks forward to expanding her teaching experience to the New York area!

 

Candace Simpson | NYC

Candace grew up in Queens, New York, where she started training starting at age of 4 in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern and started assistant teaching at 15 years old. Candace became a dance instructor & taught at various studios teaching kids ranging in ages from 4-14 up until she attended college at Hofstra University. At Hofstra she continued her passion for dance training in ballet and modern. Upon graduating, Candace started training in Hip Hop at Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan, NY. Candace has worked with artists such as Gwen Stefani and made several TV appearances on Live with Regis and Kelly. She continues to enjoy her passion and presently teaches hip hop in local dance studios & also choreographs for competition teams. Candace believes that dance is important for feeding the soul, for building confidence, and increasing the mind/body connection as a solid foundation for taking on all of life’s tasks.

Jess Attardo | NYC

AFFIRMATION: “I Am Deserving of All Great Things Coming My Way"

Teaches: ConfiDance, Moms and Minis, Shake & Burn

Jess was a Knicks City Dancer for seven years where she had the privilege of being a captain and a member of the NBA All-Star dance team. She has performed with Fat Joe, DJ Khaled, Remy Ma, DNCE, Ceelo Green, and Swizz Beats. Jess can be seen in the movie Trainwreck, and commercials for Pepsi, IFC Network, and Hudson Yards. She is the assistant coach of the Knicks City Kids and recently choreographed for Rookie USA at New York Fashion Week. Jess loves sharing her passion for dance with young children and is so excited at the chance to work with yours!

 

LaToya Brooks | NYC

AFFIRMATION: "I am here. I am alive. I will continue to thrive."

Teaches: ConfiDance, Moms and Minis, Shake & Burn

LaToya is a professional choreographer and dancer based in NYC.  She earned her BA in Dance/Communications from Manhattanville College. Former Captain of the Knicks City Dancers she has transitioned into becoming the Head Coach/Choreographer of the Knicks City Kids.  She is a seasoned industry dancer with credits that include Rihanna, Lenny Kravitz, Flo Rida, Pitbull, Jason Derulo, Hailee Steinfeld, Labyrinth, Natasha Mosley, Vanilla Ice, Lip Sync Battle, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live.  LaToya is on faculty with Deviate Dance convention and continues to choreograph for studios on Long Island and New Jersey.  She has choreographed for college dance teams such as Rutgers Dance team as well as NBA dance teams such as the Sixers dancers.  She has had the opportunity to dance in various countries including Italy, France, Spain, England, Germany and China.  LaToya has recently become a dance instructor with the company Forward__Space; a dance fitness studio in which the classes embody the core values of Dance, Music, Wellness and Sweat. 

 

Alex Landry | NYC

Affirmation: “I am a strong, confident woman.”

Alex is all the way from the Chicago suburbs! After graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, she went on to dance professionally in the NBA as a Chicago Luvabull. She then became a Knicks City Dancer when she moved to New York! Alex absolutely loves teaching dance and fitness. Not only has she been teaching dance since she was in high school, but she is also a Pure Barre instructor! Her favorite quote is, "Don't be afraid of what could go wrong. Be excited about what could go right." With that mindset, Alex is thrilled to be a part of the Confidance community! Alex recently performed at the 2020 NBA All-Star game in Chicago.

 

Julia Evans | NYC

Affirmations: “I am magical”

Originally from Utica, NY, Julia began dancing at the age of 3. She has over 20 years of formal dance training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary and tap and competed regionally and nationally for over 10 years. After high school, she moved to New York City and continued her training at St. John's University where she was a member, captain and co-choreographer of their nationally ranked dance team. Julia became a Knicks City Dancer her senior year of college while graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing. On the team for three years, she performed regularly at Madison Square Garden and danced for various artists including Ceelo Green, Fat Joe, The Four Tops, Sharon Jones and Debbie Gibson. Julia performed at the 2015 NBA All Star Game and traveled overseas with the NBA, performing in various cities in China and the Dominican Republic. Julia was featured as a model/dancer on Project Runway Jr. and also performed on the Spanish news television show, Acceso Total Telemundo NY. Now working full-time in New York City for a live events production company, Julia has helped run several sports entertainment teams in the NYC area as well as various creative performances including the Bryant Park Tree Lighting Ceremony. She currently teaches at Shooting Stars Dance Company and continues to choreograph, teach and perform throughout all of New York State.

 

Robert Taylor Jr. | NYC

Robert Taylor Jr. is an American entertainer whose goal is to inspire and spread love and peace to people of all ages through music and dance. Robert was born in Brooklyn and raised in Coney Island and developed a love for music and dance as a young child through his father Robert "Bobby T-Boy" Taylor and went under his tutilage for his music/artistry. He graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a B.A. in Dance and a minor in Musical Theatre. While at Marymount, he studied the Graham, Horton, and Limon techniques, as well as acting, theater, and other styles of dance, and was involved in and performed in several musicals.  Robert is what we call a “triple threat” in show business; singing, acting, and dancing! He appeared on Season 8 of So You Think You Can Dance as one of the top 16 finalists, American Idol (Season 3), America’s Got Talent, MTV's 'Say What? Karaoke, & has performed alongside artists such as Michael Jackson, Rihanna, LL Cool J & can be seen in Kat Deluna’s music video Whine Up”. He was part of the national tour of Hairspray as a singer/dancer/actor & Robert recently was part of the original cast of Spongebob Squarepants the Broadway Musical, which is currently streaming on Amazon.

Whitney Sprayberry | NYC

FUN FACT: “I love every Disney movie ever made and I grew up in Orlando, Florida!”

Whitney Sprayberry is a seasoned professional on the NYC circuit. She was recently featured in the World Premiere of Jagged Little Pill, a musical based on Alanis Morrisette's 1995 album. The new musical is under Tony Winner Diane Paulus's direction, with the book by Diablo Cody, musical arrangements by Tom Kitt, and choreography by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Whitney was also a cast member in Spider-man "Turn off the Dark" on Broadway directed by Phil McKinnley. Other credits include: assisting Chase Brock on "Alice by Heart," a new musical by Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik (the geniuses behind Spring Awakening), original swing for Seeing You (an immersive show choreographed by Ryan Heffington), and has appeared on multiple T.V. shows including "Modern Love" and "Gossip Girl." As a choreographer, she created all the Hidden One's movement - an acclaimed off-Broadway immersive experience. She has taught multiple movement workshops, including BroadwayCon, and creates original pieces for studios and college programs throughout the country. She has been a faculty member at Fordham University for both the Dance and Musical Theater programs. She is currently on faculty at Marymount Manhattan College in their B.F.A Musical Theater Dept. and at STEPS on Broadway. Catch her starring in the music video "Brightside" by Stephanie Carlin and anytime at the acclaimed Mckittrick Hotel (home of Sleep No More), playing the role of Jack in Speakeasy Magick.

 

Alison Ingelstrom | NYC

Alison is an Idaho native. She received her BFA in Dance Performance from the accredited Chapman University in Orange, California. Since moving to New York, Alison has worked with choreographers such as Sonya Tayeh, Ryan Heffington, Warren Carlyle, Ashley Wallen, Marguerite Derricks, Brooke Wendle, and Lindsey and Craig. Her credits include Neiman Marcus, Tick, Tick… BOOM! (Netflix), Blues Clues and You (film) Hugh Jackman (The Man, The Music, The Show) World Tour, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Gap, Macy’s, Wella, and GMA. Her theater credits include; Seeing You (Off-Broadway), Cleopatra (Off-Broadway), Moulin Rouge (Broadway Lab), The Lucky One’s (Lab). Alison has been an assistant to Ryan Heffington on jobs such as Tick, Tick… Boom! (Netflix film), Desigual (NYFW), YSL (Paris Vogue), and Mass Mutual (Live New Years Commercial). She has also served as an associate and assistant to Sonya Tayeh on projects such as As You Like IT (Public Works’), An Audience With Meow Meow (Arts Emmerson), Hurricane Diane, and The Wild Party (City Center). Alison believes in maintaining a well-rounded dance education and continues to teach and choreograph at studios throughout the country in addition to performing. She has been on faculty at The Dance Sessions, Winter Move, Greenwich Dance Studio, Breaking Ground Dance Studio, to name a few, and has been teaching for more than 10 years.
